The Poplar Creek B&B House was originally built in the 1850's. Later in the 1970's the house was expanded and more rooms, including three guest rooms, were added. In these last few years, a complete whole house renovation was performed, keeping in mind, the architecture of the 1800's in the older areas of the home. This plantation home overlooks a stocked lake and the early sunrise.
Located on this 80 acre property is a complete full service Thoroughbred breeding facility. During the foaling season from February through June, many thoroughbred foals are born on the property.
The farm borders the beautiful East Fork State Park with 50 miles of horseback riding or hiking trails and a 2,200 acre lake for fishing and boating.
